Project Re-Entry – A community based prisoner reentry solution that works!
The National LEAD’s Project Reentry is a community based collaboration of organizations and agencies that provide a coo
rdinated system of pre and post release services for offenders.
Project Reentry is designed to give the inmates nearing release an up-close and personal look at not only the obstacle of gaining sound employment, but the decision making process of life.
The topics discussed are real and practical, not another “run of the mill” program from some Havard graduate who has no hands on experience of the struggles involved. Not only does the staff associated with LEAD’s Project Re-Entry talk the talk, but will also walk the walk.
For the participants, as with other things in life, “what you put in will be what you get out!”. Things will not be easy and doors will be closed in your face, you can choose not to use this as a downfall but rather a lession in motivation to work harder – an Opportunity For Learning And Growth (OFLAG) . This is the primary message LEAD will be reinforcing in the minds of the participants.
The Mission of Project Re-Entry is to improve reintegration of former offenders, reduce criminal justice costs and increase public safety through a pre-and-post release system that coordinates Her Majesty’s Prisons, former offenders the Police, community colleges, faith-based ministries, labor board, community organizations and residents.
